A rede de segurança do andaime é usada em obras, pontes, manutenção em altura, estádios, parques e jardins. Pode ser instalada por baixo de parques infantis, estruturas de escalada, casas na árvore, deques elevados, telhados, passadiços e áreas de aventura para evitar quedas e ferimentos.
